Making All Things New:
Transformational Explorations
Making All Things New is a journey of spiritual transformation through music, meditation, drawn mandalas and movement led by Mary Morreale, our Director of Music Ministries and a board-certified music therapist. For each of four Thursday evenings 7:30-9:00 p.m. beginning on June 3, we will focus on one of the 4 paths to explore your spiritual self, transforming body, mind and spirit! June 3: Music; June 10: Mandala; June 17: Meditation; June 24: Movement. Come to one or all classes; no musical experience is necessary. Sign up at the table in the Narthex or by contacting the parish office at 703.698.6991 or
Jerusalem Presentation
The Rev. Wes Smedley and the Rev. Bob Becker will share their experiences—and pictures—of Jerusalem at 9:30 a.m. adult forums on June 20 and 27. Join us for one or both as the presentations will be slightly different each week.
Lemonade Stand
Once again this summer, the children and youth of Holy Cross will be running a lemonade stand each Sunday after the 10:30 service. The children thank you for supporting their fund raising efforts. All funds raised will go to supporting Heifer International.
Summer Story Time
Summer story time will begin on June 20th. Story time is offered each Sunday at the 10:30 service. The children start in the service with their parents. During the sequence hymn before the Gospel, the children are invited to process out of the service to meet the teacher. Depending on the weather, the children will meet on the front steps of the church to hear the week’s story. The children return to the service at the Peace. This year’s theme is Luke’s Parables.
