Holy Cross Day and Parish Picnic
On Sunday, September 13 we will celebrate Holy Cross Day, a major feast day in the Episcopal Church and a special day in the life of our parish. Holy Cross Day marks our end of summer and the beginning of the program year. Join us for worship at 8:00 or 10:00 and stay for a picnic in the church yard at 11:30. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers, lemonade, and fun for all. Bring a side dish or drink to share, a blanket or lawn chair, and a friend!
The HC OWLS (Older, Wiser and Laughing Souls) will meet on Thursday, September 3rd at 11:30 a.m. in the Upper Room for our “kick off” for our new year. Richard Adams will be giving us a travel talk on his spring trip to Paris and the burgundy region of France. Please join us for fun and fellowship! Please bring a bag lunch. Peanut butter and jelly will be available for those needing a sandwich. Drinks and cookies will be provided.
Family Sing Sunday
Children, youth and adults are invited to participate in our Family Sing Sunday on August 30! This new musical gathering will be a great way to get together all ages together and offer special music of 3 very accessible and fun songs to sing. We meet in the sanctuary at 9 a.m. and sing for the 10 a.m. service. Come one and all to make a joyful noise!
Parish Lunch Line
We will gather in the parish kitchen at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 20 to make sandwiches for our neighbors in need. Join us for as long as you are able, whether it be 15 minutes or an hour. Donations of lunch meat and bread are greatly appreciated. We will work until the supplies run out. We make sandwiches on the third Sunday of every month, and you are welcome any time!
