Education Classes for Children and Youth
Holy Cross provides religious education to all children Pre-K through twelfth grade on Sunday mornings. Sunday School is held from 9:00 to about 9:45 a.m. for those in the fifth grade and under. The children join their families in the service in time to participate in communion. Sixth through twelfth grade students attend Sunday School during the 10:00 forum hour. At the same time, children from ages 3- 5th grade are invited to learn hymns and songs in the Holy Cross Children’s Choir rehearsal.
Sunday School will be held most Sundays September through May. Parents are asked to register their children in September at the beginning of the school year, but children are welcome in Sunday School at any time.
During the summer months, a children's story time is offered during the 10 a.m. service. Children begin the service with their families and step out before the Gospel reading for a short story and lesson, returning to the service to participate in communion.
To register your child for Sunday School, please fill out a registration form, and send it to the parish office.
