Foyer Groups 2010

Foyer Groups will start up again with the new year. What is a Foyer Group? It is a small group gathering that is characterized by fun, food and fellowship.

The groups of eight to ten are put together randomly to add an element of spontaneity, so that each of us might have the opportunity to get to know others in the parish who may be outside our normal circle of acquaintance. There is no agenda or plan—just casual fellowship and a refreshing meal. Newcomers are especially invited to join one of the groups at any time.

Each group meets four times between February and July. Gatherings are traditionally in the home of one of the group members, but each group organizes as it chooses. Some groups have gathered for a picnic or barbeque during good weather or even met at a local restaurant. The idea is for the gatherings to focus on Christian fellowship, a refreshing meal and relaxed conversation. Generally, the host provides the main course while the other members provide the rest of the meal.
