New Service Schedule in September
Beginning on September 12, we will have three services on Sunday mornings, at 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., and 10:45 a.m. We will also have a Taize worship service at 7:30 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month beginning Oct. 3.
- 8:00 a.m. Simple, beautiful liturgy of Holy Eucharist with no music and no sermon
- 9:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist, music sermon, church school for children of all ages
- 10:45 a.m. Holy Eucharist, music, choir, sermon, and Children's Chapel during the Gospel and sermon
Sunday School Registration Under Way
Sunday school begins on September 12 at 9:00 a.m. with classes for children ages 3 through high school. The youngest will use Godly Play, a hands-on exploratory program based on the Montessori model. Grades 2 through 5 will follow the Episcopal Children's Curriculum, and those in 6th grade and up will use a combination of "Attitudes" and "Confirm Not Conform," two programs designed specifically for youth.
Check the Classes section of this site for details on each program. Please contact to register your child or to volunteer in the Sunday School program. There are many ways to help out.
Theology on Tap
Theology on Tap is a place where the 20s/30s, GenXer crowd can gather, share the trivial and the profound, and begin to enter the mystery and reality of God. It is one of those non-“churchy” ministries (a ministry happening outside the walls of the church) that proves God can be present anywhere—even in a pub! Join us on August 24 this month at Ireland’s Four Provinces in Falls Church at 7 p.m.
Make a Joyful Noise Concert
September 26 at 3 p.m.
Special music by instrumentalists Pamela Styles, Nancy Colfax, Randy Latimer and Mary Morreale. Join us for violin, flute, fiddle and organ music from Mozart to PDQ Bach!
